Privacy policy

Updated October 21, 2026 · Liberra app for iPhone

This policy explains what data the Liberra app uses, why, and how you can view or delete it. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for users in the European Union, the GDPR.

Who is responsible?

Liberra, an independent project based in Geneva, Switzerland. Contact: contact.liberra@gmail.com.

What stays on your phone

Your trips, your choices (transport, stays), your plan, your wishes, your packing list, your expenses and your settings are stored on your iPhone. Without an account, none of this is sent to our servers.

With an account

Services used by the app

To work, the app queries a few services. They only receive what the search needs, never your name or email:

As with any internet connection, these services see the IP address of the request. To prevent abuse, our server counts price and place searches per device (a random identifier created by the app) and per IP address; these counters are erased after two days at most.

Partner links

Some buttons (flights, activities, eSIM, luggage storage, airport transfers, delayed-flight compensation) open a partner’s website with a tracking ID, which lets Liberra earn a commission if you book. These links are always labeled. Once on the partner’s site, its own privacy policy applies.

What we don’t do

How long

Your data stays as long as you keep it. You can erase everything at any time; a deleted account is erased from our servers, profile photo included (see below for shared trips). A report is kept while it is handled, then for one year at most.

Your rights

In the app, Profile tab, then “My data”:

For any other request (access, correction, question), write to contact.liberra@gmail.com. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
